Kicking it Today

On Thursday January 16, Andiamo Sterling Heights was graced with the presence of Trey Burke. Alfonso Clark "Trey" Burke III was a superstar at the University of Michigan before being drafted in the 9th slot by Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2013 NBA Draft and then they immediately traded him to the Jazz.

At about 9:30pm I received a phone call from Joe Vicari’s Andiamo Italian Steak House. They told me that Mr. Burke was there but they were already closed and unable to serve him. Even though we were about to close at 10pm I told them to send him over and we would be glad to take care of him. I told them to inform Mr. Burke that road conditions are very bad, so take his time and I would stay open for him.

Mr. Burke arrived at my location around 10:30pm a half hour after we had closed. I let him in and sat him at a beautiful table. After he sat down I asked him what had brought him to Andiamo. He told me that he was in town to play the Detroit Pistons on Friday the 17th, but he had been at an autograph signing all day inside Lakeside Mall. The owner of the sports store that he was signing autographs at told him the best place around to eat was Andiamo and he had to try their food before he left back to Utah. After dinner I thanked him for dinning here at Andiamo, wished him luck in his game against the Pistons, and in his career that was ahead of him.
